Our GuardFlow ceramic carbon block filter is built for wells and city water in areas with heavy farming or industry. Its carbon block core keeps water in contact with the filter longer, for more consistent reductions over the life of the filter, while the ceramic shell traps sediment and cloudiness. For city water with generally good quality, our EverFlow filter offers faster flow, and for PFAS or microorganisms, our PureFlow filter.

How the GuardFlow filters work
Each filter pairs a silver-infused ceramic shell with a dense carbon block core. Because water has to pass through the carbon block wall, it stays in contact with the filter longer, giving more consistent results than our granular EverFlow filters. Tested to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, and 401, they reduce:
- Chlorine: more than 99%
- Chloramine: more than 99%
- Lead: more than 99%
- Pharmaceuticals: more than 99%
- PFOA and PFOS: more than 99%
- Microplastics: more than 99%
- Heavy metals: more than 98%
- VOCs: more than 98%
- Trihalomethanes (THMs): more than 98%

The filters also reduce aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, nickel, and zinc.

Good to know: Before first use, run two full chambers of water through the new filters and give it to your plants to rinse away any taste. The carbon block filters more slowly than our EverFlow filters. Replace each filter at its rated capacity or once a year, and scrub the ceramic between replacements to restore flow. Restoring Shine

- Create a paste using lemon juice and salt
- Gently rub onto the surface with a soft cloth
- Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately
- Alternatively, use a copper-specific polish

The darkening of copper is a natural process that doesn't affect its quality or health benefits. Many cherish this aged appearance as it adds character and proves authenticity. You can choose to maintain the shine or embrace the patina—both are beautiful.
Storage
Store in a dry place. If stacking multiple pieces, place a soft cloth between them to prevent scratching.

Is this real copper or copper-plated?
Every piece is crafted from 100% pure, solid copper. Never plated or mixed with other metals. We verify the purity of each batch to ensure you receive authentic copper with all its natural health benefits.
Why does copper change color?
Copper naturally develops a patina (darkened appearance) over time when exposed to air and moisture. This is normal and doesn't affect quality or health benefits. Many people love the aged look, while others prefer to polish it back to a shine, we think both are beautiful and authentic.
Is it safe to drink from copper vessels?
Yes! Copper has been used safely for drinking water for thousands of years in Ayurvedic tradition. Pure copper naturally has antimicrobial properties. However, avoid storing acidic beverages (citrus juices, vinegar) in copper for extended periods. Always rinse after use.
Can I put copper in the dishwasher?
No, we recommend hand washing only. Dishwashers use harsh detergents and high heat that can damage the copper's finish and accelerate tarnishing. Simply hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry immediately.
