It's no secret, I am a big fan of Sertodo Copper products. I first discovered this company when looking for some Moscow Mule Mugs, which I found to be of vastly superior quality and craftsmanship to more plain looking ones you see sold alongside the Sertodo options here on Amazon. The hammered copper products from this company just feel better in your hand. They have a heft and feel to them that conveys the old-world style craftsmanship with which they were made. After buying the Moscow Mule Mugs, and giving several sets to friends as wedding and holiday gifts, I decided to start saving for some of the larger serving pieces.
I love to cook and entertain at home, and in my family, I am typically the host for the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Just a few weeks before the gathering this year, I decided to pull the trigger on the Sertodo Syracuse Chafer. I knew that it would hold a standard full size hotel pan full of carved turkey, and I figured I would wow everyone with my presentation this year. This has to be the most stunning serving dish I've ever laid eyes on. The workmanship is flawless yet it is obvious it was hand-crafted and not mass produced. We keep ours in plain view when not using it for entertaining and I would venture to say this chafer would make even the blandest of dishes an exquisite experience. Not that you or I would ever serve anything bland....
