• PureFlow Ionic Pleat filters use a two step purification process:

  1. Electropositive Nanofiber Membrane with carbon substrate, pleated to exponentially increase the surface area available to trap contaminants. Microplastics, Forever chemicals (including newer short chain PFAS) and organic pathogens carry a negative charge which are captured and trapped in the positive membrane like a magnet, forming an ionic bond between the contaminant and the membrane.
  2. Compound Carbon Block Core specially formulated to remove fluorides and chlorines commonly added to municipal water systems and assure a consistent filtration rate through the densely compacted carbon compound core to remove environmental contaminants such lead, herbicides and pesticides, VOC's, pharmaceuticals, endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, taste/odor compounds and more.

     If your water source has a high level of particulates or sediment, consider our Ceramic shell filters or using a particulate filter before adding water.  The filter element can not be cleaned to increase flow as with our ceramic shell filters.
